(Original Lilt Poem)
A day turns to peaceful night She opens the rustic door Takes a step, ever-so-light Then takes one more Brick walls enveloped By entwining ivy, covered But within the walls developed The day turns to velvety night He opens the rustic wooden door Takes a dainty step, ever-so-light Then, courage abloom, takes one more Brick walls enveloped by entwining ivy, covered But within the walls arise A world rich with wonder Streams of sunlight seeped Through the shade of cherry red oak trees Silky, soft lilacs peeped The aroma swirled in a crisp breeze The pond, translucent like glass Shimmering blues and greens Feathery, dew-spotted grass As far as it’s eyes could see He felt his consciousness floating away As his soul drifted into serenity
